Mary Beth Temple, the author of The Secret Language of Knitters, was at shop today signing copies of her book. She also brought a special guest (her daughter Katie) who is sporting a lovely purple ruffled scarf.
We had a good time sitting and knitting talking about everything (from yarn, techniques, Ravelry, to cooking and wool festivals).
The Jens were on the sofa accomplishing some quality knitting (left: I assuming a sock as I see DPNs, and on the right: Tree Coat in Malabrigo).
Eva and Ed stopped by first thing in the morning to show off their latest ventures and for Eva to enjoy some birthday shopping. Eva's birthday was Saturday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) so today she came in and got her 20% off birthday discount.
Eva was inspired from a stitch pattern in Sally Melville's Knitting Experience Book 1: The Knit Stitch and came up with these lovely scarves. The yarn on the left is Jawoll sock yarn and on the right is Kaffe's new sock yarn.
Lastly, I forgot to post the recent wip (work in progress) from Stanlee. She has been knitting this cute baby sweater in Miss Priss. I hope to have a photo of the finished project because I literally took this picture when she put it on the table and it is looking great. We have a store sample of the yarn knit up in the very same pattern, so next time you are in ask about the Schaeffer baby sweater in Miss Priss.
Keep on Knitting!
