A lot happened this weekend: Saturday madness and Sunday ravelriness (I made up that word). But, here's some additional photos from the weekend festivities....
Ronnie is basking in glory and do you blame her? She knit the Einstein Coat from Sally Melville's The Knitting Experience : The Knit Stitch. She knit this in Reynolds Lopi. She mentioned that walking in New York she received several compliments and when she stopped by she certainly received a lot more.
Carey brought this beautiful capelet to pick out buttons. The yarn was actually in different dye lots subtly displayed in the photo but it looks like it was done on purpose and as was stated by many this weekend that makes it a "design element". The buttons coordinate wonderfully with the capelet.Ronnie is basking in glory and do you blame her? She knit the Einstein Coat from Sally Melville's The Knitting Experience : The Knit Stitch. On the left Ben modeling the Cobblestone sweater made for him by his wife (that would be me) and Jean a store regular and Ravelry member modeling her Cobblestone sweater. I find it very interesting that one pattern can look so good on a man and a woman, and the influence of color and texture on the overall look of the sweater. Jean stopped by for the Ravelry event on Sunday.
And one last shot of the Ravelry brunch, where JenC, Lynn, Marilyn, and Jen, were discussing something very interesting. Do you think they are talking about yarn? Probably.
