Sunday, April 27, 2PM-5PM
OR
Wednesday, May 7, 10AM-1:30 PM 1 class session - Fee $50
Many sock knitters fall victim to the dreaded “Second Sock Syndrome”. We fall in love with a skein of sock yarn, run home to knit the sock, and then loathe knitting the second. You can avoid this unfortunate condition by knitting 2 socks at one time. It is fun, easy, and has many practical applications. This is a class for knitters who are proficient at knitting socks. Please purchase your supplies prior to the first class. A list of required supplies will be provided when you sign up. Requirements: Must be an experienced Sock Knitter
FREEFORM CROCHET
with Leslie Sunday, April 13, 1PM- 4PM 1 class session - Fee $50 (includes supplies)
Do you “play” by the rules? Want to live dangerously (at least crochet dangerously) and forget about “rules” (and patterns)? Well freeform crochet can help you. Bring yourself, basic knowledge of crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, etc.; increasing and decreasing), your imagination, your desire to explore crocheting and creating without a pattern. Knowledge of other stitches is helpful (bobble, popcorn, bullion, fpdc, bpdc, etc), but don’t worry, we can help you with these. You’ll learn step by step, stitch by stitch, motif by motif (circles, squares, triangles, or any direction your crochet and yarn take you) how to make a scrumble and sewing scrumbles together. History of scrumbling will be discussed, as well as things you can make with your scrumbles.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of crochet stitches.
